--Count it all joy when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. James 1:2-3-- When I first started this blog I wondered what I would ever write about. We have since welcomed a child with spina bifida and another with Down syndrome. This has become a blog about our family and what it means to love and grow together even when life doesn't turn out how we planned it to be. We are learning to count it all joy.

Original Blog Post: February 3, 2009- Praises and Hallelujahs
Caedmon met with the neurosurgeon's nurse practitioner and the pediatrician today. The N.P., Jill, was able to remove stitches in two of his four incision areas and to give a nod of approval to the healing of the other two areas. She just wants to wait another week before removing the stitches in these to make sure the skin is totally healed. Dr. Marker was so encouraged by Caedmon's progress that he said we don't need to see him for a whole month!!! We don't know what we'll do with all that time and no appointments with him. Of course, we'll still have the orthopedics appointments but wow! We are so, so grateful to the Lord. I know His hand has been on these incision sites.
