Original Blog Post: November 26, 2008- Great News From The Doc

Today was our last level 2 ultrasound and a doctor's check-up.  They measured Caedmon's head and body parts and using some kind of fun scientific formula came up with the number 7 lbs and 8 oz.  His hydrocephalus is not increasing, so his head size is good for Mama to push out.  We are so happy and so excited.  The nurse's exact words were, "Baby looks beautiful."  He's holding steady and doing well.  I know the prayers are surrounding him and holding him where he needs to be.  The lovely, wonderful doctor, who I really hope is on duty when we go into labor, said, "I think you can do this!  You've already done 90% of the work with your first pregnancy.  You can do this!"Today's visit was especially fun because Adam and Damek came along to see the ultrasound.  Everytime Damek would start talking while the sonographer was trying to take measurements, Caedmon's head would turn to where Damek's voice came from!  I've noticed Caedmon moves a lot more when Damek is around but it was really awesome to be able to watch it on the screen.  We continue to have one appointment a week until Caedmon's arrival.  They continue to monitor his movements, breathing motions and amount of fluid in the uterus.  So far we are not close to labor, as the doctor checked all she could check today.  I have been having quite a few Braxton-Hicks contractions, which is great.  I also have a list of how to help get things moving so we don't have to end up with a c-section.  Keep praying for us over the next two weeks.  Our deadline is December 15 at 9:30 am, when the c-section is scheduled in case of no spontaneous labor.
